A chiropractor is a healthcare professional that works with keeping your neuromusculoskeletal system (the joints, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments) in proper working order.

They can help manage joint and muscle pain through the use of spinal adjustments by restoring proper alignment to the bones within your body and focus on the body's ability to self-heal.

By improving the neuromusculoskeletal system's ability to perform, chiropractors can improve the functioning of other systems throughout the body that may have been impaired.

Dr. MacIver was born and raised in Texas. His uncle was a green beret medic in Vietnam and he has always looked up to him and wanted to help others. After several changes in majors due to shifting interest, Dr. MacIver received his Bachelor Degree in English from the University of North Texas and has worked in Retail Management, Information Technology, Sales, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Desktop Publishing, and many others before he found his calling with Chiropractic.

Before going to Parker University for his degree, Dr. MacIver was getting three or more migraines a week and the regular care provided to him during his schooling reduced those instances down to less than one a month. This led Dr. MacIver to seek out specific treatments to help headache sufferers in addition to his other training, leading him to become a specialist in Migraine and Headache relief.

At the age of 32, Dr. MacIver returned to school and mastered the skills needed to receive his Doctoral degree in Chiropractic from Parker University. He has spent years studying and perfecting his skills as a chiropractor, studying Advanced Activator techniques, Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, extremity specific adjusting, and trigger point release methods.

After graduation Dr. MacIver was recruited by 4 different personal injury clinics across DFW, where he took on the role of Clinical Director at each and gained experiences with an assortment of injuries and additional techniques. He got frustrated with the limitations set on him by attorneys and insurance companies that would not let him treat outside of what they determined was the ‘area of injury’ and shifted his focus to wellness care so he could treat his patients without the limits of only being able to treat certain parts of the problem.

Dr. MacIver has learned how to diagnose and treat many different complaints over the 40,000+ adjustments he has provided during his career, and is looking forward to seeing how he can help you.
